Alexander Svenson, clinical psychologist

I am a Clinical Psychologist providing help for those experiencing challenges with their mental health. I provide tailored, evidence-based psychological therapy.

As well as having worked in private practice for several years I have also worked at the Black Dog Institute, Prince of Wales Hospital and Headspace. I have previously supervised provisional psychologists completing their postgraduate training.

I am a registered psychologist with AHPRA, with area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology. I am a full member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), and member of the Australian Association of Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT). I completed a Bachelor’s of Psychology (Honours, 1st Class) and a Master’s in Psychology (Clinical), with the University of Wollongong. I also have a Master’s of Economic Analysis with the University of Sydney, and am working towards a PhD at the University of Sydney in the field of neuroeconomics (which combines economics, psychology and neuroscience), exploring depression and anxiety.
